Why have my pool water analyzed?
An abnormal appearance of water can have several origins and lead to different corrective measures; the purpose of the analysis is to define whether it is:
-bacterial proliferation,
-Algae proliferation
- "chemical" deposits linked to water treatments
-accumulation of impurities
Description of the analyzes carried out by the laboratory
-Microscopic examination of a deposit or cloudy :
It allows to orient on the biological origin (bacteria or algae) or mineral of a possible deposit
-Microorganisms revivable at 22 ° C and 36 ° C = "total" bacterial flora
A proliferation indicates a poor control of disinfection. (Specification in public swimming pool <100 CFU / ml). UFC = Colony-forming Unit
-Intestinal enterococci and Pseudomonas aeruginosa :
They arer indicators of a health risk. . (Specification in public swimming pool <1 CFU / 100 ml)
-pH: Express the acidity or alkalinity of water. The disinfection products are effective in a very precise pH range (refer to the instructions for the product used); untimely mixing of products can lead to chemical reactions which generate deposits.
- Chlorides :
In swimming pools, they reveal the concentration of water compared to the filling water, except in the case of salt disinfection treatment.
-Total organic carbon :
Measurement of "Organic Matter", from, in the pool, sweat, the skin of bathers, external inputs (leaves, etc.)

Results sent by email within 7 to 10 working days after receipt at the laboratory
An expert from the laboratory can be reached by email and by telephone for any explanation of the results transmitted (contact details of the expert on the analysis report)
