Why look for lead in water

Lead has long been used in the manufacture of pipes. Today, even if its use is prohibited, some of them have not been replaced and their degradation may release lead into water intended for human consumption.

• Circular DGS / SD7A n ° 45 of 5 February 2004 relating to the control of the parameters lead, copper and nickel in water intended for human consumption

• Order of 11 January 2007 relating to the quality limits and references for raw water and water intended for human consumption mentioned in Articles R. 1321-2, R. 1321-3, R. 1321-7 and R. 1321-38 of public health code

• instructions for collection (attention specific sampling instruction for this analysis because sampling in the 1st jet without prior purging and after stagnation of 30 minutes or overnight)
